For the first time since collaborating on Hector’s second solo album, The Foreign Affair, Randy Brecker and Hector join forces, along with world-class musicians like Claes Brondal on drums, Samuel Torres on percussion and Gregg August on bass, to explore the frontiers of Latin and Jazz.
Taking advantage of his presence in Boston for a performance at Scullers Jazz Club, BERKLEE COLLEGE OF MUSIC has invited Hector to conduct a Master Class on Jazz Composition, on March 17th, at 1pm, BERK RECITAL HALL.
We are happy to perform for the first time at this spectacular venue. As a sideman, Hector has played there several times with Gato Barbieri, Steve Turre and other top-rated bands, but this is a first for his FOREIGN AFFAIR!
Twice a year FOREIGN AFFAIR visits magic Old Lyme, Connecticut, where a 5 years old venue has brought Jazz to this location more readily associated with visual arts and the American Impressionist Movement
It’s been a while since last playing at this gem of a Village speak-easy club, where Jaco Pastorius used to hone in his skills along with Mike Stern and other Jazz luminaries. I’ll be playing with Argentinian star-vocalist, Gabriela Anders.
